Geos is an alternate universe Earth, where there is an increasing frequency of "Gifted" individuals who develop strange superpowers. While some use their powers for crime, others use theirs for good. Mundanes still regard the majority of Gifted individuals with distrust, fear, and derision. They call for regulation, with some encouraging vigilantism and others fearful of terror in the streets.

There are three main organizations for Gifted agents:

HDS—Homeland Defences and Security—an agency within the government that, in part, deals with Gifted and powered individuals, mostly to try to convert, cure, or destroy. The HDS targets "villains" and other Gifted that the IIA has pegged as dangerous.

IIA—Investigation and Intelligence Agency—an agency within the government that gathers information on paranormal incidents and tabulates the known effects and causes, as well as cataloguing known Gifted.

GIA—Gifted Independents Alliance—a pseudo-agency that operates underground, made up of other Gifted and their allies. Affiliation unknown. The most famous example of a GIA patrol was the Champions, a group of Gifted who acted as self-proclaimed crime fighters. They were public and media darlings for seven years as they helped stop or catch various criminals, until a falling out happened within the group. Their leader, Galvanic, routinely slaughtered the other members, though the whereabouts and status of a couple members remains unknown.

In the vacuum and confusion of the Champions' downfall, villain activity is again on the rise. Now, a new group has begun forming: the Waywards, a collection of would-be heroes who either idolized the Champions or want to do better than their fallen predecessors. However, their powers are more unusual and their skill at controlling them is still a bit shaky. Time will tell on whether they can fill the Champions' shoes . . . and avoid the same downfall.

Geos is the world setting for several private role-playing games on RPoL.
Members of the Waywards:

Consequence: Alias unknown; "timeline grafting, resulting in changing the history of individuals and the resulting ripple cause-and-effects."

Blast: Erin Balaster; "builds up centrifugal force that she can release in speed or compounded force."

Brazen: Miranda; "invulnerable to damage, super-strength, can't feel pain, pleasure, or pressure."

Filter: Kip Shelton; "can take in an endless stream of information and mentally select the pieces he's looking for, eidetic memory, agoraphobic, never sleeps."

Harrow: Ira Belande; "personal magnetism (he gets sucked into other people at a molecular level), resulting in physical possession and puppeteering of the host body."

Moment: Mika Maruki; "can teleport between discreet moments in time (forward or back) as an observer, cannot interact with people in that time period. When returning to her current timeline can relocate her position."

Mythos: Riyad Adir Essa; "possesses the Mythos Bracer, which contains 7 stones, each one the spectral house of a hero's weapon. He can only draw 1 at a time, and some have limitations to being returned to the bracer."
